Overview

Perks ("we", "us", "our") provides a loyalty and rewards application ("App") for stores built on the Shopify platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to merchants and their customers.

Information We Collect

When a merchant installs the App, we receive certain information from Shopify, including:

• Store information (shop domain, store name, contact email)
• Order information (order totals, line items, timestamps) needed to calculate loyalty points
• Customer information (name, email address, and order history) needed to track points balances and enable redemptions

We do not collect payment card details — all payments are processed directly by Shopify.

How We Use Information

• To operate the loyalty program: calculate points, track balances, and process redemptions
• To power AI-driven insights and campaign recommendations for the merchant
• To provide customer support to merchants
• To comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing

We do not sell customer data. Information is shared only with service providers that help us operate the App (e.g. hosting and database providers), and only to the extent necessary to provide the service. All such providers are contractually obligated to protect this data.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain data for as long as the App is installed on a store, and as required to comply with legal obligations. In accordance with Shopify's requirements, we respond to the following requests automatically:

• Customer data request — a copy of the customer's stored data is provided to the merchant
• Customer redact — a customer's personal data is deleted from our systems
• Shop redact — all data associated with a store is deleted within 48 hours of uninstalling the App, per Shopify's data protection requirements

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect the information we store.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
